"What's Next? From Open Source to Open Everything"

 Alex Skud Bayley

If Alex "Skud" Bayley's first Linux system were still around, it would be old enough to vote by now. It's no wonder that after almost 20 years as an open source developer and advocate, she recently quit her job to find something new. While the official story is that she's studying to become a sound engineer, she's also involved in uncountable "open" projects ranging from copyright reform to community schools, and serves on advisory boards for the Wikidata Project and The Ada Initiative. When not speaking at conferences, she tends to sit in the audience and knit.
